YHA Cairns Central - Self Guided Pub Crawl

Meet at reception on Friday's at 6.30pm. Bring your travel buddy or make some new friends whilst you explore the city's nightlife and get to know your fellow backpackers. Spend as little or as long as you like in each location!
Stops include:

1. McGinty's Irish Bar - Described as an Irish pub with good music and best beer in Cairns. A great first stop for a cosy pint and a chance to chat with your new crew.

2. The Jack - This British themed pub has music, specials and sports on screen. Enjoy their beer garden for the full social experience.

3. Salt house - after a stroll down to the pier treat yourself to a refreshing cocktail with waterfront views and enjoy the live DJ on Friday nights.

4. Next up is Howlin' Jay's - serving Cairns’ Best Fried Chicken & Frozen Cocktails on the waterfront. Cool down with a frozen margarita and grab a bite!

5. Stop by Rattle 'N' Hum on Cairns' bustling esplanade to mingle with backpackers and locals alike.

6. Get the party started at the Woolshed, winner of the 2018 “Best Backpacker Night – Australia” in the Adventure Tourism awards. Dance the night away or grab a drink at The Cotton Club downstairs for a more chilled experience.

7. Last stop, Gilligans! The landmark backpacker party destination, with themed nights and open till late. Luckily, it's just 2 blocks away when you're ready to hit the hay.
